U.S Marine veteran taped his mouth with “I can’t breathe” badge – Stands in the heat for hours. The Marine was in full uniform standing outside of the Utah State Capitol for three hours. In the heat, his shoes started to melt. His lips were taped with a badge “I can’t breathe”.

U.S Marine Veteran named Todd Winn protested outside of the Utah State Capitol for three hours. His mouth was taped with a badge ‘I can’t breathe’. Those were the words of George Floyd before he died.

The marine demonstrated alone in the same spot where thousands of protesters demonstrated at the Utah State Capitol. The marine veteran’s shoes began to melt as the temperature reached high.

George Floyd pleaded as a Minneapolis police officer kept a knee on his neck for more than eight minutes, leading to Floyd’s death last month. The incident, which was caught on video, sparked nationwide protests against racial injustice and police brutality.

Todd Winn chose to shoe his solidarity and support to the movement ‘Black Lives Matter”.

Winn said, “You know until I left home and joined the Marine Corps, I didn’t really understand that that was wrong. Until I served with men whose skin was a different color than mine, who were the finest men that I’ve ever known, help me to learn that really we’re all the same,”.
