A military center in southern Helmand province in Afghanistan was attacked by Taliban and injuries reported. Around 150 members of the army and intelligence were present during the attack.
The government officials said that the bombing occurred on Sunday night. Taliban said, “Dozens of members belonging to the enemy forces have been killed and wounded in the attack’. The statement was given by Qari Yousuf Amhedi, a spokesperson for the hardlines Islamist group.
The defence ministry confirmed the blast, and said one member of the army was injured. The Afghan forces in the last two months have suffered heavy casualties across the country.
