Speed radars installed on Umm Al Quwain Road – UAE. Radars include fixed and mobile along the roads of the emirate.

Speed radars are installed on roads of the emirate to catch speeding motorists. Umm Al Quwain police say radars are more useful in catching speedsters.

Speed radars, both fixed and mobile are deployed on Umm Al Quwain roads and police say they will install more radars to catch the speedsters.

Most of the traffic violations in UAE roads are due to overspeeding. Deliberate ignorance of the traffic rules create troubles for police. Most of the speedsters are young drivers and cause severe risks for other road users.

Road signs showing speed limits are installed on all roads and drivers need to adhere to it, said the police.

“As per the federal traffic law, exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than 80kmph draws a fine of Dh3,000, along with 23 black traffic points and the impoundment of the vehicle involved for 60 days.”

More radars – fixed and mobile – will be deployed along the roads of the emirate to curb speeding drivers, said the police. “There will be no tolerance with speedsters.”
