9-year-old Emirati donates Dh100,000 to combat COVID-19 in UAE. The child is Mohammed Hamid Abdul Hakeem living in Ajman. He was born in 2011 with health challenges.

UAE: To help the UAE fight against the new coronavirus pandemic, a 9-year-old Emirati child has donated Dh100,000 from his savings.

This is a contribution to his mother country in these desperate times as a way of expressing gratitude.

UAE willingly came to his aid when he needed it the most. According to a report in Emarat Al Youm, “the child, Mohammed Hamid Abdul Hakeem who lives in Ajman, was born in 2011 with health challenges and, at one stage, needed urgent serious heart surgery. After his family contacted the authorities in UAE, they were able to have him flown abroad for undergoing the complicated cardiac procedure. After the surgery, Mohammed returned home and now fully well was able to enjoy his life like all other children of his age”.

This act is a kind of expressing his love and gratitude for the country and its leadership.

“In a video taken to mark the donation Mohammed thanked Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, the President of UAE, and said that he was able to go to school like other children thanks to the UAE. He also expressed a wish to meet Sheikh Khalifa and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, saying that he really loves them from the bottom of his heart”.
