Trump’s campaign rally and the protests following it increased the number of Coronavirus cases in the US as per a top Tulsa Health official in the US.
“In the past few days, we’ve seen almost 500 new cases, and we had several large events just over two weeks ago, so I guess we just connect the dots,” said the Tulsa City-County Health Department Director Dr. Bruce Dart.
According to the Associated Press, Tulsa County reported 261 confirmed new cases on Monday, and 206 cases on Tuesday.
Eight of Trump’s campaign advance staffers and two Secret Service agents have been tested positive of Covid-19. They worked in Tulsa ahead of the rally.
Thought the campaigners said to have provided masks and temperature checkups, reports say that social distancing was not observed and masks weren’t made mandatory.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S.on Wednesday, according to a tally from Johns Hopkins University. The virus has killed more than 131,000 people nationwide.
