Ras Al Khaimah: As part of the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority to combat COVID-19 pandemic spreads, they have requested the cab / taxi fleet to separate drivers from the passengers and ensure public safety by installing plastic separators.

“The new isolators provide more protection for both our drivers and passengers and curb any chance of mingling or contraction of contagious diseases”, said Eng Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, General Manager, RAK Transport Authority.

“No passenger is allowed on the front seat next to the driver. We have started this front seat ban since the very beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak. All cabs here are sterilized after each and every taxi trip”, Al Blooshi stated.

All staff drivers wear facemasks, gloves, and use hand sanitizers on a regular basis for more protection.

RAK Transport Authority has also started delivering medicines to patients of Saqr hospital across the emirate. Medicines shall be delivered to home on a daily basis from 1pm to 9pm.
